MANAGER – OPERATIONS (JD)

We are seeking a highly experienced and result-oriented Manager – Operations to lead our Operations Team in delivering seamless and high-quality travel experiences. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in the travel & tourism industry, proven leadership abilities, and a strategic mindset to drive operational excellence, vendor partnerships, and service quality.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership & Management

  • Lead and oversee end-to-end tour operations including planning, booking, and execution across all destinations.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, service quality, and cost optimization.
  • Supervise daily operations, ensuring timely execution and adherence to company standards.
  • Identify process improvements and implement best practices to enhance operational performance.

Team Management & Development

  • Manage, mentor, and guide the operations team to achieve departmental goals.
  • Allocate tasks, monitor performance, and ensure productivity and accountability.
  • Conduct regular training and development sessions to enhance team capabilities.

Tour Planning & Itinerary Oversight

  • Review and approve tour itineraries ensuring quality, feasibility, and profitability.
  • Ensure customization aligns with client expectations, market trends, and company objectives.
  • Monitor pricing strategies and ensure competitive and cost-effective packages.

Vendor & Partner Management

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key vendors, partners, and service providers.
  • Lead negotiations for contracts, pricing, and service-level agreements.
  • Monitor vendor performance and ensure compliance with service standards and contractual terms.

Quality Control & Customer Experience

  • Ensure seamless tour execution with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Handle escalations, critical issues, and ensure timely resolution.• Analyze customer feedback and implement improvements to enhance overall experience.

Reporting & Strategic Planning

  • Prepare and present operational reports, performance metrics, and cost analysis to senior management.
  • Track KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support business growth through operational planning and expansion strategies.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure all operations comply with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
  • Identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Travel & Tourism, Hospitality, Business Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 6–8 years of experience in travel operations, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong leadership, team management, and decision-making skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of travel operations, destinations, and market trends.
  • Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in travel management systems, CRM software, MS Office, and booking platforms.

Sales Manager -Job Description

A Sales Manager experienced in Travel Industry who can drive revenue by setting sales strategies, leading a team, building client/partner relationships (agents, corporates), selling packages (flights, hotels, tours), and analyzing market trends, while managing operations, ensuring high customer satisfaction, reporting to management and development strategies to meet targets for domestic/international travel. Key skills include negotiation, CRM, leadership, and deep industry knowledge.

Job Title: Sales Manager – Travel Industry (Domestic / International)

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sales plans, set targets, and drive revenue growth for tour packages, flights, hotels, and insurance.
  • Recruit, train, motivate, and manage the sales team to achieve individual and overall goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, travel agents, DMCs, and other key partners.
  • Monitor travel trends, competitor activities, and market demands to identify new opportunities.
  • Collaborate with operations/product teams to create attractive, competitive packages.
  • Oversee daily sales operations, manage bookings, handle complex inquiries, and resolve issues.
  • Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to senior management.
  • Keep track of anytrade shows, industry events, and coordinate with marketing for promotions.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven sales management experience in the travel, tourism, or hospitality sector in India.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, or related field.
  • Excellent negotiation, closing, and relationship-building skills.
  • Deep understanding of Domestic and international travel markets, trends, and booking systems.
  • Ability to lead, coach, and inspire a sales team.
  • Knowledge in CRM software and MS Office.• Strong communication (English, regional languages a plus), problem-solving, and customer service.

Candidate Requirements

Experience

  • 7-10 years of experience
  • B2C sales experience is preferred
  • Tourism / Travel industry experience

Language Skills

  • Kannada & English – Mandatory
  • Other regional languages will be an added advantage
