Grishneshwar Temple : A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Grishneshwar Temple located in Ellora is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas in India. and is considered the last or the 12th Jyotirlinga of India.
If time permits proceed for other sightseeing of Ellora Caves (closed on Tuesday) –The World Heritage site, one of the finest examples of rock cut caves, there are 34 caves, Cave 16 is the most famous and has Lord Shiva sculpted on the rocks – the largest monolith in the world. The other popular cave is No.32, a shrine within contains the seated Lord Mahavir, last of the 24 tirthankars of Jainism. Overnight stay at the hotel in Sambhaji Nagar.

Proceed to visit to Bhimashankar temple – Located in the Sahyadri hills of Maharashtra (around 110 km from Pune), is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. Surrounded by dense forests and scenic valleys, it is both a revered pilgrimage site and a nature haven. The temple’s architecture reflects the Nagara style, with intricate stone carvings and a peaceful sanctum housing the Jyotirlinga. According to legend, Lord Shiva took the form of Bhimashankar to defeat the demon Tripurasura, and after the battle, the sweat from Shiva’s body is believed to have formed the Bhimarathi River, which flows nearby.
